My name is Awehwenu Issa, and I was blessed with the opportunity to intern with Njoya Engineering in March of 2024. During this exclusive mentorship, I gained invaluable experience in engineering specifically in structural design using 3D CAD tools.Although my major is Mechatronics Engineering, I was able to apply and expand my knowledge through the guidance of Mr. Domkam, the hands-on projects I completed, and the lessons learned throughout the program. One standout component of the mentorship was a resume-building workshop, which helped me craft a resume that stood out from the competition. That very resume helped me secure a nuclear engineering internship in Las Vegas, Nevada.Now, a year later, I’m interning as a MachineNjoyaning Engineer at NASA an opportunity made possible by the strong foundation I built at Njoya Engineering.I am extremely grateful for everything this program has taught me and the doors it has opened.
