What we do not do — and why that is the point
Njoya Engineering does not stamp or certify drawings or calculations, and does not act as the engineer of record. Giles Domkam is an Engineer-in-Training; stamp work is routed to a California-licensed PE or stays with your own engineer of record. That boundary is stated up front because it is what makes Njoya safe to hire as a subcontractor: you get a complete, traceable, rerunnable calculation package, and responsible charge stays where it already is.

Plan Review & Code Compliance
Our review process examines architectural and structural drawings against local building codes and industry standards. We highlight potential non-conformities, recommend revisions, and check final plans against the regulatory requirements for permitting. Stamp work is routed to a California-licensed PE — never implied.
Seismic Retrofitting
In earthquake-prone regions, strengthening existing buildings is critical for safety and code compliance. We evaluate structural vulnerabilities, develop retrofit designs—such as shear-wall installations and foundation underpinning—and prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications.
Load & Design Calculations
Our engineers perform rigorous analysis of gravity, lateral, wind, and live-loading scenarios using state-of-the-art software and hand-calculation methods. We deliver seal-ready calculation packages: complete calc sets prepared for review and stamp by a California-licensed PE, coordinated by Njoya. Each package documents methodology, assumptions, and compliance with AISC, ASCE, and other relevant codes.
