NAICS codes

What we do
- Structural design and analysis — steel, concrete, wood, masonry, cold-formed framing; foundations and load-bearing analysis. Revit, RISA-3D, AutoCAD. ACI 318, AISC 360/341, AISI S100, NDS, TMS 402, ASCE 7, IBC.
- Seal-ready calculation packages — complete calc sets prepared for review and stamp by a California-licensed PE, coordinated by Njoya.
- BIM coordination — 3D models, MEP clash detection, constructability review before issue for construction.
- Infrastructure planning — roads, bridges (AASHTO LRFD), drainage, retaining walls, with seismic design and cost in view.
- Value engineering — span and member optimisation that cuts material without cutting capacity.
- Tender and bid support — scope definition, technical specifications, cost-estimating method, proposal quality review against bid instructions.
- Software and AI engineering — a named line of business on the firm’s California Statement of Information.
How we engage
- Subcontract / teaming — a defined structural and BIM workshare inside a prime contractor’s or design firm’s effort.
- Support to licensed firms — calc preparation, BIM and drafting for architects, contractors and engineering firms working under their own engineer of record.
- Workforce and education — CAD/BIM training, engineering career coaching, STEM programmes with UNITE partners.
How the work is checked
- Pinned code editions. No clause is cited unless it resolves to a pinned edition; an edition change flags every affected calculation.
- Reconstructable runs. Each calculation is logged with its input hash, engine version, code editions, reviewer and date.
- Independent check. Governing results are checked by a second method before they move past review.
- Named human sign-off. Nothing is approved or issued without a named reviewer. AI is never on the load path.
Licensure boundary
Giles Domkam is an Engineer-in-Training. Njoya Engineering does not stamp or certify drawings or calculations and does not practise as the engineer of record. Stamp work is routed to a California-licensed PE, or performed by your own engineer of record. Stating that boundary is what makes Njoya straightforward to hire as a subcontractor.
Rates and terms
Hourly or fixed-fee, quoted per scope. 50% at signing on private work. Credit cards accepted, including CAL-Card. Net 30; California state agencies under the Prompt Payment Act, Gov. Code §927 et seq.
Small business purchasing
Under the state’s SB/DVBE Option, a California agency may contract directly with a certified small business for goods and services from $5,000.01 to $249,999.99 after obtaining quotes from at least two certified SBs or DVBEs. Njoya’s certification also carries a 5% bid preference on applicable solicitations.
